Creating a post COVID enhanced working environment

Post Covid Leyton’s primary objective was to consolidate their 1st & 5th floors and get staff back onto 1 floor plate. Their building had two empty suites adjacent to their existing first floor, however these are separated by building core elements which meant no visual connection between the 3 spaces.

The challenge was to strategise how best to use the space to enhance their staffs experience within the office. Improvements to lighting and acoustics were also high priorities as the first floor lacked both.

As Leyton only had another 3 years on their lease, we needed to think about furniture solutions over built items and the reuse of existing furniture and materials to keep cost to a minimum.

From a finishes perspective the space needed to reflect their brand without being overwhelming.

We also needed to showcase Leyton's love of sailing as a company they race a catamaran on a world stage.
